Panerai British Classic Week

The Panerai Classic Week organised by the British Classic Yacht Club will be held in Cowes between July 7th and 14th. This event comes highly recommended by the past and the present Class Captain as an alternative to Cowes Week. The regatta caters for crews that race and also for those who just wish to cruise in company, there is a full range of onshore social events. There is also a 'clockwise' round the island race which can be entered separately. Entry is via the BCYC website
http://www.britishclassicyachtclub.org/regatta/entry.html
For those Scod owners who do not want to enter but would like to experience the event, the Class Captain is proposing an informal rally during the week and will be hosting two social evening events. In the absence of the 'Scod piles', the cost of one night's marina mooring will be met by the Association.
If you are interested in attending this event please contact Jaik Tari, Class Captain on 07860 293741or by email classcaptain@scod.org

Owing to storm force winds the Spring Rally was confined to Mayflower public house, despite the lack of sailing an enjoyable evening was had consisting of a surprisingly good meal and sparkling conversation. Five boats were represented.
