The Association now has its own Badge/Brooch in lieu of the necktie, which became too expensive to re-order. The rather elegant badge is some 30 x 15 mm, depicting our Burgee and of a modern enamal look-alike material. It has a safety pin type fastening - and therefore a 'must have' for the fashion conscious lady or gent.

Marbella (SC28), Stirling(SC104) and Black Velvet (SC39) have already signed up for the Metre and Keelboat Regatta at Cowes Classic Week being held from the 20th to the 24th July. The 185GBP early bird rate for entry fees has been extended by the Royal London YC until 17th June 2009. Classic Cowes has been preferred to Cowes Week this year by these owners as a more appropriate event for racing this summer, and if enough SCODs enter, it will ensure their own start.
